Brand, in the field of marketing originated in the 19th
century, is the symbolic embodiment of all the knowledge
related with a product or its services. Brand is a name
given to a company for its proprietary visual, emotional,
and cultural image. Branding is also the process of spreading
the brand name. It can be applied to the entire corporate
identity as well as to individual product and services.
For evaluating a company, its brand awareness is important
in front of public.
For every company the major task is to achieve the ultimate
goal of brand promotion. For this, every company should
have good brand name. There are number of designers and
developers in market who create and promote brands.
The identity of brand is carried through print media, promotional
online and advertising which includes: labels, flyers, business
logos, trade cards, brand personality, signage, advertisement,
brand associations, slogans etc.
To create a standard brand there are five steps:
First step:
Clearness through Research- In research part, the company
does a survey about the brand, in which it tries to know
the popularity of the product of their brand. The company
also tries to conduct interviews with, staff, clients; prospects
and past clients in their research. The survey concludes
lastly whether brand’s values measure up to its customer's
expectations or not. If research shows that the brand is
successful in satisfying the costumer, it shows that the
brand is good.
Second step:
Discover essence of brand- In this step, analysis of gathered
research is done also this step involves articulation of
a simple and strong brand along with a brand positioning
statement.
Third step:
Developing a Winning Strategy- This step involves the present
study about the outline, literally and figuratively of the
new brand. It gives a plan to create a standard brand in
market. This step also involves development of a blueprint
to get a quick reference visual for making the brand active
and alive in the minds of the executive team.
Fourth step:
Brand implementation – There are two main steps for
the implementation of a brand i.e. external and internal.
The newly branded product is sold in organization and before
selling, the promises of brand are made clear. After that
the documentation is done to specify the strategy of new
brand.
Fifth step:
Integrity of brand – This step includes the process,
which helps in measuring and modifying the elements of the
new brand. This step provides information about the elements,
whether they are working perfectly or not, so as to correct
all the elements of the new brand to make an ideal brand.
